Le petite tabouret de dessert! That is French for "the little dessert stool". We just love these petite dessert stools.Everything is so adorable in miniature size isn't it! We love being able to present our sweets in new and unusual ways on the dessert table. And this "little" idea is perfect!

Boy's Lego Birthday Party!

Just What Every Boy Loves! We don't know of any boy who doesn't love Lego's! We don't know any boy who doesn't love a Lego party either!
Lego theme was my sons choice for his 8th birthday celebration! We ended up having to move the party from outdoors, indoors at the last minuet due to rain! Crazy! The rain stopped, sun came out and we could go back outside so the children could enjoy the jumper and other party games!

A Boy's Easter Garden Party {Part 2}

A Boy's Easter Garden Party Part 2

We love the thought of a boy playing out in the garden and finding a fallen birds nest on the ground, only to rescuse it and carefully set it inside his baseball glove!

Valentine's Treats Part 3

Just in case you need a little more inspiration!
In keeping with the Key To My Heart theme, we recycles t.p. rolls into favor crackers. The keys were made using the Cricut machine, and dollar store foam glitter hearts were attached with double sided tape.
We stuffed the favors with dollar store candy.

Aren't these the cutest things?! We love them. Found these mini Hershey bar wrappers here , for  for free! We just love looking at them!  Easy to make.Simply, print, cut and assemble for a beautiful presentation!

We hope in some small way we have inspired you! Happy Valentine's Day!

Key To My Heart Sweets Part 2

Who doesn't love lemon? These sweet little lemon pound cakes were very easy to make using a box of lemon cake mix and box of lemon pudding! Baked in a silicon mold and drizzled with powdered sugar and vanilla glaze.

Lace and Valentine's Day just seem to go so well together. I choose a free label from WorldLabel.com to use for all the dessert table foods. Layered the label onto DCWV scrapbook paper and lace trim. The sweet little clothes pin stand I found at Michael's in the dollar bins, 4 for $1.00 I could not let that one pass me by!

The heart toppers were cut free hand using DCWV scrapbook paper and I layered on top a free music sheet graphic I found from The Graphic Fairy. (Love her things). Once assembled I taped the topper onto a sharp toothpick and decorated the tops of the pound cakes.

Key To My Heart Sweets

In keeping with the vintage Valentine theme I choose sweets I remembered from childhood.

My mother would serve angel food cake at family gatherings and it was perfect for this tea.

I used store bought angel food cake, whipped topping flavored with a hint of raspberry, pale pink pearls found at Michael's (which we also used for our heart sugar cookies) and crystal sugar. Budget minded, pretty and tasty all in one!

The cake bunting was a diy craft which I found for free at TheTomKatStudio. I hung it on some thread I had which I found at our local thrift store. The bunting really added so much vintage appeal to the cake and the over all dessert table. For your next gathering if baking from scratch is not an option, but you still want to present "that something special" in diy fashion, check out the grocery store and doctor it up a bit. Give it a try! Stay tuned for more from our tea.
