Free pastel floral wedding invitation

This free pastel wedding or commitment ceremony invitation is perfect if you have multiple colors in your wedding or commitment ceremony color palette, or if you just like a soft and romantic look. (You don't have to be getting hitched to use this invitation; it would work for virtually any type of party.) It has some of my favorite colors: teal, purple and pink. It also has a vaguely Japanese look, due to the subtle leaf pattern in the background.

The images for this invitation came from Karen of Kaklei Designs. Karen has some beautiful soft images, which is why her components so often show up in my invitation designs.

This free light blue wedding invitation template is the same design as my pink wedding invitation. It's a vertical design with lovely modern swirls in subtle shades. Since everyone obviously doesn't have pink as their wedding color, I thought I'd provide an alternative color that's also very popular.

As with the pink version, the grunge swirl border artwork in this wedding invitation template came from Kelcey of Luna Rosa Scraps. I thank her for permission to use her wonderful graphics.

Free Unique Fall Wedding Invitations

This unique fall wedding invitation template features subtle shades of pumpkin and sage, and stylized autumn leaves and vines, which makes it perfect for an autumn wedding or commitment ceremony. I love these particular shades of orange and green, because they're so contemporary and elegant looking, and they convey a fall theme without being garish or too obvious.

This wedding or commitment ceremony invitation design would look nice with a thin ribbon covering the line between the orange and green, tied in a pretty bow. Ivory or cream would look nice for the ribbon, but you could also be a little bolder and use a color, such as avocado, persimmon or crimson.

Free Tropical Beach Theme Wedding Invitations

Free Pink Wedding Invitations

This free pink wedding invitation template could definitely be called modern -- yet I think it has a certain classic feel to it as well. (But then again, I'm probably a little biased!) The subtle swirls in white and very pale purple surrounding the bordered area where the text goes could be described on one end of the spectrum as grunge flowers or on the other as elegant flourishes. I'll leave it to you to decide. Update 7-20-2010: I just posted a blue wedding invitation that has the same design.

Free Commitment Ceremony Invitations

This free printable black and white commitment ceremony invitation template would also be great as wedding invitation. Its elegant script message that reads "Join Us for a Celebration of Our Love" would certainly work well for either event.

The design of this 5" x 7" invitation features a regal black and white flourish border and the heading is also in black. But if you'd like to highlight it with an accent color, that's easy to do. If you don't have a graphics program such as Photoshop, Publisher, Fireworks or similar, you can just pop the invitation template into Microsoft Word (butt two of the invitation images right next to each other for the most efficient use of space) and then add a text box that fits exactly over the white area. Choose a color for the text box border and then select the option to make the inside of the text box transparent. I tried this with both red and magenta and they both looked wonderful. (If you choose, you can also remove the heading text by placing a text box with a white background over it.) If you don't know how to use text boxes in MS Word, consult the Word help menu or do a web search for "Word text box tutorial" or something similar.

Free Black, Pink and White Wedding Invitations

The black and pink design on this 5" x 7" white wedding invitation template is bold and modern. It's not your mama's wedding invitation, that's for sure. (Unless your mom is a whole lot more modern than mine was!)

Graceful but slightly grungy black vines encompass the bottom left corner of the invitation template and are softened by pink vines and delicate pink butterflies. These give a stark contrast to the white background, creating a cool, modern statement.

Free Purple Wedding Invitations Template

This free purple wedding invitation template has a subtle intertwining vine motif that is designed to be used horizontally. But you could also turn it on its side and use it vertically. If you do, I would advise using the left edge as the top.

This blank invitation template obviously doesn't have any wording or lines to write information, because the idea is that you would add your own text in a word processing or graphics program. Because of that, this design could also be used for housewarming, birthday party or anniversary invitations, or for virtually any other type of party you can think of.

Free Black and White Wedding Invitations

This free flat panel A7 (5" x 7") black and white wedding invitation template has a classy flourish pattern that looks elegant whether used vertically or horizontally. (See below for an example of a vertical wedding invitation using this design.)

All you have to do is download the artwork and click the button at the bottom of this post to go to my free printable wedding invitations hub. There you'll find all the instructions you need for implementation, plus 11 more free designs. I've also provided some wedding invitation wording samples on that hub, if you need a little help with that. There's even sample commitment ceremony wording, because not every couple that loves each other is allowed to get married.

The background on this invitation design is white, so this design has maximum versatility. If you use a pastel or even richly colored card stock, the black motif on the side will layer over it and look lovely. Of course, you could also use white or ivory stock. You might even want to try one of the beautiful opalescent card stocks out now. They'll give you a fancy look for a relatively un-fancy price.
