Mothers day 2008 is just four days away(May 11). I thought among other gifts, I need to bake a good cake. Mom would be very happy to see me baking right, as I am not as good with baking as cooking. I found this easy and simple Creamy Chocolate cup recipe. My mom loves anything to do with chocolate. Which woman doesn't like chocolate?
The Creamy Chocolate Cup recipe is as follows:
Ingredients
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 4 tablespoon sugar,
- Pinch salt
- 1-2 Tbsp. hazelnut liqueur
Recipe
- Bring milk to boil over medium heat, in a small saucepan.
- Combine egg, 2 tablespoon sugar, salt, chocolate chips and liquer in blender on low, while milk heats.
- Pour boiling milk into blender while it is turning, in slow steady stream. Egg will be cooked and chocolate will melt by the hot milk. Blend for 1 minute, or until smooth. Pour chocolate mixture into demitasse cups and chill.
- After dinner, place cream mixture in in medium bowl and use electric mixer to beat until soft peaks are formed.
- Add the remaining sugar and beat to combine. Now, top the chocolate cups with dollop of cream.
- Place cups on saucers to serve. Don't forget to serve with demitasse spoons.
